Carla Mastrangelo

BA in Early Childhood Education & Care
Carla is a dedicated and highly skilled childcare professional and educator with over 15 years experience. She completed her academic degree at UMass Boston and in 2020 was certified as a Newborn Care Specialist. Her areas of expertise are newborn care, infants & toddlers and her approach is largely guided by Montessori and RIE principles. Carla has been working in the Austin market for over a decade and am currently expanding her services to include nanny placements and consultations.

When she's not busy with her my favorite littles, she enjoys cooking at home and long daily walks.
MY STORY
My journey working with children and their families began 15 years ago as a preschool teacher at the Harvard Business School’s Child Development Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There, I developed a fascination for the development of little ones and the unconditional joy and love they bring to this world! After completing my studies at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, I was ready for a new chapter. This change brought me to Austin, TX and it was here that my nanny career took off.
By chance, I connected with an incredible family who I give full credit for launching me into the many years of success that followed. Slow and steady, my career took off as I cared for their two boys since birth. The following four years working with them served as an invaluable learning experience where I was able to navigate and explore what it meant to be a nanny. From here, I continued my nanny career partnering with several other Austin families, providing care for their little ones. Today, I am still very bonded and involved with many of these families.
After many loving and fulfilling years as a nanny, I realize how many more meaningful ways there are to support this incredible community. As I move on from my role as a nanny and grow into this new space of connecting caregivers and families, I feel so fortunate and grateful. My goal is to help families identify and evaluate their childcare needs and match them with the best possible solutions. From consulting services to nanny placements, I am here to make things work.
